The HPS Performance Cold Air Intake Kit relocates the HPS Performance air filter outside the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures. Compared to a traditional short ram air intake, the HPS long ram cool air intake delivers cooler air with more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the vehicle's combustion chamber to produce dyno-proven performance gains: +5.4 horsepower, +5.3 lb-ft. torque, and improved throttle response. The included installation manual has clear pictures and instructions to guide the installer throughout the whole process. The kit does not require tuning, and no modification is required. However, removal of the front bumper is necessary during installation. The HPS lightweight mandrel-bent aluminum alloy tube replaces the stock restrictive air intake tube and airbox to optimize airflow with excellent heat dissipation and long-lasting durability. The HPS cold air induction system features HPS 3-ply reinforced, high-temperature resistant silicone couplers and 100% stainless steel T-bolt clamps, which ensure reliability even during the most extreme driving conditions. The washable and reusable pre-oiled high-flow HPS air filter is designed with performance in mind, delivering excellent filtration without sacrificing airflow. This kit also converts to a short ram intake setup.
