The ER316L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire in a 2-pound roll is designed for welding 18%Cr-12%Ni-2%Mo austenitic stainless steels, such as AISI 316. With added molybdenum content, this wire delivers improved resistance to pitting and general corrosion, making it ideal for harsh environments. It is engineered for use with DCEP reverse polarity, providing smooth arc performance and consistent bead quality. This wire is widely used in petrochemical industry applications where strength and corrosion resistance are essential. Its low carbon content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion. Featuring excellent mechanical properties, it offers a minimum tensile strength of 490 MPa and 30% elongation.
