The INTERSTATE PNEUMATICS - CA665 is an automotive coupler supports a quick-connect, tool-free coupling design for connecting to compatible mating plugs/nipples between air or fluid hoses and mating plugs or nipples commonly used in vehicle service and repair. It features a 3/8" body size and a 3/8 in barb size to fit hoses with compatible inner diameters. This coupler employs a True-Flate Automotive interchange type, making it compatible with corresponding fittings that use this standard. The coupling relies on a sliding-sleeve or ball-lock mechanism to provides a sealing interface intended to help reduce leakage when coupled to compatible fittings and installed with hoses that meet the specified size requirements, utilizing a Buna-N (Nitrile) seal material to is intended for use in maintaining a sealed connection under the specified operating temperature range. Its steel body with a zinc plated steel body finish for surface protection against corrosion offers resistance to corrosion and oil exposure under the applicable pressure ratings of the coupler and compatible fittings/hose assemblies, and is rated for operation within a temperature range of -40 to 212°F.
