The Ironwear 1264 safety vest offers thorough protection for those who work in environments with moving machinery and fire hazards. Featuring 2 in silver reflective tape around the torso and over the shoulders, this Type R vest meets ANSI/ISEA Class 2 standards. With 100% flame-resistant modacrylic fabric, this vest also meets NFPA 70E and ASTM 1506 with an Arc rating of ATPV 5.1, CAT 1. Hook and loop fasteners are included at the shoulders, sides and front closure, comprising a complete 5-point breakaway system that will release if entangled. Additionally, 2 waist pockets and a left chest pocket are integrated into the vest for added convenience. This safety vest is ideal for electricians, airport technicians, baggage handlers, utility workers, chemical plant workers, miners and oil specialists, as well as any work that requires personnel to be near active fire hazards and fast-moving machinery that presents risk of entanglement. It is also appropriate for recreational activities performed in low-visibility environments with moderate traffic – from jogging and cycling to fishing and hunting. To clean, simply handwash in warm water and mild detergent, then leave to air dry. For heavy soiling, gently spot clean with a mild soap. Do NOT machine dry. Do NOT use sanitizers or aggressive cleaning solutions such as bleach or acetone. Employing cleaning methods other than those outlined above may shrink the vest, ruin the reflective tape or dim the coloring below safe standards.
