The Ironwear 1287 safety vest offers thorough protection for those who work in environments with moving machinery and fire hazards. This Type R vest features 2 in silver reflective tape layered over 4 in contrasting fabric that wraps around the torso and over the shoulders and chest pockets for high-visibility protection that meets ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 2 standards. A 5-point breakaway system is integrated into the vest, comprised of hook and loop fasteners at the front, sides and shoulders that will detach from the body in the event of an entanglement hazard. For added convenience, 6 total pockets are integrated into the vest’s design, including 2 flap pockets at the waist, 2 hook and loop chest pockets and 2 inner chest pockets. This safety vest is ideal for airport technicians, baggage handlers, utility workers, chemical plant workers and any work that requires personnel to be near fast-moving machinery that presents risk of entanglement. This safety vest is also ideal to protect against fire hazards and boost visibility in all but the most demanding applications – from factory workers, utility workers and maintenance workers to jogging, cycling, walking or fishing. To clean, simply handwash in warm water and mild detergent, then leave to air dry. For heavy soiling, gently spot clean with a mild soap. Do NOT machine dry. Do NOT use sanitizers or aggressive cleaning solutions such as bleach or acetone. Employing cleaning methods other than those outlined above may shrink the vest, ruin the reflective tape or dim the coloring below safe standards.
