The Ironwear 1255 safety vest is designed to keep you safe and visible in environments with active fire hazards. Made from a flame-resistant cotton and polyester blend with a zipper front closure, this UL MH60361-registered vest meets NFPA 2112 with an Arc rating of 8.7, CAT 2. The 2 in silver reflective tape wraps around the torso and over the shoulders, boosting visibility in low-light areas, while the zipper front closure allows for easy on and off. Additional features include 2 waist pockets with hook and loop flaps, as well as 2 radio clip tabs at the shoulders, all for improved workplace efficiency. This safety vest is ideal for electricians, utility workers, chemical plant workers, miners and oil technicians, as well as any work involving fire hazards and arc flashes. It is also appropriate for recreational activities performed in low-visibility environments with moderate traffic – from jogging and cycling to fishing and hunting. To clean, simply handwash in warm water and mild detergent, then leave to air dry. For heavy soiling, gently spot clean with a mild soap. Do NOT machine dry. Do NOT use sanitizers or aggressive cleaning solutions such as bleach or acetone. Employing cleaning methods other than those outlined above may shrink the vest, ruin the reflective tape or dim the coloring below safe standards.
