The Ironwear 1257 safety vest is the choice solution for high-traffic, low-light settings where fire hazards are present. Made with a blend of 60% modacrylic and 40% cotton fabric, this flame-resistant vest meets ASTM 1506 standards with an ATPV of 5.1, CAT 1. This Type R vest also features 2 in silver reflective tape over the arms, torso and shoulders that meets ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 2 standards for high visibility. A front chest pocket, 2 waist pockets and 2 radio clip holders are also included for hands-on access to work tools and accessories, with a zipper front closure for easy on and off. This safety vest is ideal for electricians, utility workers, chemical plant workers, miners and oil technicians, as well as any work involving fire hazards and arc flashes. It is also appropriate for recreational activities performed in low-visibility environments with moderate traffic – from jogging and cycling to fishing and hunting. To clean, simply handwash in warm water and mild detergent, then leave to air dry. For heavy soiling, gently spot clean with a mild soap. Do NOT machine dry. Do NOT use sanitizers or aggressive cleaning solutions such as bleach or acetone.
