The zinc alloy carabiner clips onto belt loops, work belts, bags and backpacks. The vinyl ID badge strap threads through the slot at the top of most ID cards and snaps closed; badges without a slot need a badge sleeve. The retractable cord made with DuPont Kevlar fiber runs on a stainless steel spring in a tough molded polycarbonate case that is strong but very light, and the twist-free end fitting keeps the badge from spinning up.
