The Liftin Gear R-WIRE 5,300 lb. Black Steel Core Round Sling is built for the most demanding rigging where 100% polyester isn’t enough. When a load is hanging over hot lighting fixtures, pyro, welding or fabrication areas, or a high-ambient roof in summer touring conditions, a steel-core sling holds its rated strength where polyester can weaken or melt. It's the sling of choice in high-end concert halls and arenas, where the consequence of a failed lift is highest and the margin for error is smallest. Inside, galvanized steel core wire delivers better resistance to cuts and crushing than polyester, less stretch under load, and a longer service life through harsh touring conditions. A hook and loop inspection sleeve lets riggers check the steel core quickly before every show without unpicking a stitched cover.
