The slats are screwed to the frame and the frame is bolted together with .31 inch bolts . The bottom of the swing is contoured with a tapering curve to the outer edge. If you are going to put an actual mattress on it you may want request it without the contour in the seat.....other wise you will receive it as pictured with the contour. Color: Raw Wood.
