How to Build Store Gondola Aisles Quickly Lozier gondola shelving is easy to order. You start with a simple-to-build single-sided starter unit. Then, to create any length aisle, just daisy-chain add-on units to the starter unit. The black finish on this store shelving display is baked on polyester, which guarantees long life and resilience from chipping. The pegboard panel is 1/4" thick-tempered hardboard. The shelving unit is supplied with steel slotted uprights that support shelves that can hold up to 500 lbs. each shelf, holding up everything from wine bottles to groceries. The weight capacity per 48" width of shelving is 1250 lbs. The starter unit comes with 1 pegboard panel, 2 vertical slotted steel uprights, a base shelf and internal rolled-steel display feet, along with any gondola shelving accessories you need to finish the job. The starter unit is 48W x 54H x 16D base deck. The overall depth to the backside of unit is 19". Black metal gondola shelves are sold separately. To extend the width, just attach a single add-on unit, or more if that's necessary. With a single add-on unit, you can make your display 8 feet long; with two, 12 feet long. You can go longer if necessary, creating a full store aisle if you want.
