Aggressive carbide tipped teeth with deep self-cleaning gullets easily cut thick or layered building materials including wood, wall tile, fiberglass, plastic, even fiber-cement siding (including popular James Hardie and CertainTeed fiber-cement products). Quick-change pilot drills with a built-in, tight gripping hex shank are available in both high speed steel and carbide tipped designs. The extra length of these pilot drills allows the drill point to extend 1" (25 mm) beyond the hole saw's teeth for cutting uneven surfaces like lap siding. Cutting a hole in the wall plate area of a house clad with fiber-cement siding is a breeze! A generous 2-1/4" (57 mm) hole saw cup depth is also versatile for cutting through a variety of other wall cross sections. A quick-connect/quick-release arbor design easily attaches or changes out the pilot drill or hole saw. The unique quick release feature ejects saw plugs with ease!
