Narrow V-Belts are designed to provide efficient power transmission in high-performance and high-load applications where space constraints are a consideration. Their narrow design transmits more power in a given space and allows for more compact drive design than classical section V-belts. This significantly reduces overall drive cost.The cogged notched design makes the belts more flexible and better able to wrap around smaller sheaves. The raw edge provides a higher coefficient of friction when compared to wrapped options. The increased grip means the belt transmits more horsepower at higher speeds.
