Description
This six-inch IC rated housing is suitable for remodel in residential and commercial applications and for direct contact with insulation. Integral thermal guards protect against improper lamping and misuse of insulation materials with lamp wattage ratings and apertures based off trim selection. Designed for slope ceiling installation with a 7/12 to 12/12 pitch, the socket pivots to allow the lamp to be aimed straight down regardless of ceiling pitch. The airtight housing limits the exchange of air between ceiling plenum and heated/cooled areas. The housing adjusts from 1/2” to 1 1/2” to accommodate ceiling thickness and its 7 5/8”height allows it to be used in 2” x 8” joist construction.
