Lubrication occurs when the solenoid is activated, and the chain moves through the brush. This results in a reduction of wear which prolongs the life of costly chains.The reservoir and sight are vented to allow liquid to reach the brush by gravity. An adjustable precision needle valve controls the flow rate; it has a friction lock to guard against loosening from vibration. Drop feeding can be observed through the glass viewing window in the valve body.The flexible bristles of the round brush follow the contour of the moving chain and spread liquid to all load-carrying points. Brushes can be adjusted to accommodate up to of wear and can be readily replaced see part no. B536-7. This Electro Chain Lubricator features a 1 pt acrylic reservoir with polypropylene end plates, suitable for temperatures up to 160° F. This reservoir design utilizes a permanent bond that eliminates gaskets. The unit can be filled using the aluminum swing-away filler cap. The valve body is aluminum alloy with Buna-N seals. There is a 5/8-18 threaded shank for mounting. Solenoid has a NPT thread for connecting with conduit. Solenoid is powered by 120V/60Hz other voltages and frequencies are available, please consult factory. The diameter of the reservoir is 3 1/2, the distance from the bottom of the brush to the mounting nut is 3 3/4, and the total height of the electro chain lubricator is 12 7/8.NOTE: This reservoir is not for use with isopropyl alcohol. Polycarbonate reservoirs or reservoirs with aluminum endplates and Viton seals are recommended for use with isopropyl alcohol.
