The leak proof construction, large vent hole and unrestricted passages permit fast and accurate liquid level response .The square shank with pipe thread screws horizontally into a tapped hole. A full rotational clearance is not necessary; the union coupling is installed without rotating the entire gauge .This brass elbow gauge features a 1/2 diameter glass sight protected by a shield. The shield can be revolved to the most convenient position for viewing or taken off completely for cleaning. A protected vent hole in the cap reduces the possibility of dust, dirt, or moisture getting inside the gauge. The gauge uses only atmospheric pressure. A Teflon washer reduces friction between the cap and the glass during installation and adjustments. Buna-N seals are used.
