OmniCel ER26500 3.6V 8.5Ah Size C Lithium High Energy Battery With Wire Leads OmniCel ER26500 Battery is ideal for and widely used in utility metering, alarms and security devices, memory back-up, tracking Systems, SART and EPIRB devices and many others. This size C ER26500 Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery is an ideal long lasting power source for the Musson 502 SART (Search and Rescue Transponders), and the SOLAS 9 SART. Diving Strobe Lights made by Beaver Sports each require 1 x Size C 3 volt battery but seem to thrive on these 3.6 volt C size ER26500 Lithium Thionyl Chloride batteries. Lithium Thionyl Chloride has the highest energy density of any practical Lithium battery chemistry, three times greater than Alkaline (Zinc Manganese Dioxide) batteries. It also has the widest operating temperature range of -55°C to + 85°C. Self discharge is low at less than 1% per annum at 20°C, giving an effective shelf life of 10 years.
