Both the hammer and the punches are made from carbon steel with a black oxide finish to help prevent rust and corrosion, and you can count on these tools to provide the strength to withstand repeated strikes and make precise marks and holes. Each punch has a hex shank for added grip and to ensure they don't roll off of your workbench, and the hammer features a hickory handle for strength and added grip as you work. The hammer weighs 10.5 oz. (297 g) and has a flat head as well as a cross-pein head for precision strikes.
