27 in. Window Block and Tackle Sash Balance (Single Pack)

These block and tackle channel balances are used to counter-weight the moving sash on single and double hung windows. When installed, the face measures 9/16 in. wide, the sides extend 5/8 in. into the vinyl liners, and the length is 27 in. These balances are constructed of a steel frame, a heat treated high tension steel spring, other plastic and steel components with synthetic woven round cord. A pair of these channel balances will safely support the weight of 13 to 19 lb. sash when all components are matched correctly. The top and bottom guide shoes must be purchased separately as there are many variations from manufacturer to manufacturer. Refer to the installation instructions for proper selection of parts.
