Depending on the size of the sash, these locks can be used as singles or pairs, and they can be installed on both left and right horizontal sliding sash. Each set contains two keys, one lock and keeper, and the installation fasteners. Installation of these sash locks is easy and can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 5/8 inch wide keeper, 2 inch mounting hole centers (distance between each mounting hole measured from center to center of holes), and industry standard finish to match other existing hardware in the home or office. These keyed sash locks can be mounted on any sliding window where the checkrails of both the inner and outer sash rest flush, to include sliding windows constructed of aluminum, wood and vinyl. Only with the key inserted into the lock can the thumbturn swivel to open or close. Removing the key will lock the device in whichever position that the thumbturn is facing, either open or closed.
