Measure the thickness of the materials and select a rivet with a grip length that slightly exceeds the combined thickness plus 0.010" to 0.020". The diameter should be appropriate for the load requirements and the hole size.

Push-in rivets are ideal for blind applications where access is restricted to one side only. They offer installation from one side, eliminating the need for additional tools for backing up. They also provide excellent hole fill, reducing the risk of leaks or loosening.

Push-in rivets are typically available in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each providing different strengths and corrosion resistance to suit various applications.

Use an appropriate installation tool to align the rivet and apply pressure. The tool will expand the rivet's shank, locking it in place. Grip the rivet head firmly while squeezing the tool's handles to prevent rotation and ensure a secure installation.
