Fluoro-Hance increases sensitivity of gel images on x-ray film up to 10 times. High resolution images are produced from polyacrylamide or agarose gels containing low level beta emitters such as 14C, 3H, and 35S. Fluoro-Hance contains a high efficiency scintillator system that produces a large number of photons when exposed to beta isotopes. This technique allows detection of weak beta emitters such as 14C, 35S and 3H.Fluoro-Hance is an aqueous formula and does not contain acetic acid, DMSO, or hydrocarbon solvents which are potential hazards and can also cause distortion of the gel bands.Fluoro-Hance is packaged in a light resistant amber bottle and has a long shelf life when stored in the dark at room temperature.
