Rubber-Cal’s EPDM rubber sheeting is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber to inherit the strengths of both materials. The addition of SBR rubber gives this synthetic rubber sheeting a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This EPDM rubber has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. This elastomer sheet is the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers, among many other possible applications. The key feature of EPDM synthetic rubber is its outstanding range of resistance. This hard sheet rubber has excellent durability against damaging weather conditions. While other many other synthetic elastomers fail under prolonged exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this industrial EPDM is specially designed to handle such extreme physical conditions. Beyond its outdoor abilities, this UV-resistant elastomer also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. The chemical resistance of EPDM makes the sheet rubber material ideal for industrial locations which might be prone to the presence of such potentially corrosive substances. This hard rubber sheeting also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40° F to 212° F, making it perfect for extreme industrial or outdoor temperatures. Our EPDM outdoor rubber is heavy-duty and won’t sacrifice its lifespan to heat, chemicals, or weathering effects. Our EPDM elastomer sheeting is available in eight different gauges ranging from 1/32” to 1/2" to fit the needs of any desired application. This 1/4" sheet rubber is one of the thicker options available and works well in highly abrasive physical applications. This thick sheet rubber is also available in a variety of different sizes and can be cut down for even more possible applications, such as making commercial EPDM seals and gaskets. Our EPDM products are designed to withstand the toughest physical conditions, making it the ideal material for industrial and outdoor applications.
