This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) to inherit the strengths of both materials. The addition of styrene rubber gives this elastomer sheeting a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This EPDM material has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. This hard sheet rubber is the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers, among many other possible applications.The key feature of EPDM rubber is its outstanding range of resistance. This synthetic elastomer has excellent durability against damaging weather conditions. This resistant rubber sheet also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40° F to 212° F, making it perfect for extreme industrial or outdoor temperatures. This 3/8sheet rubber is the second thickest option available and works best for highly abrasive physical applications. This thick sheet rubber is also available in a variety of different sizes and can be cut down for even more possible applications, such as making chemical-resistant EPDM seals and gaskets.
