Rubber-Cal’s EPDM sheet rubber material is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) to inherit the strengths of both materials. The addition of SBR synthetic rubber gives this elastomer sheeting a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This industrial EPDM has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. These hard rubber sheets are the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers, among many other possible applications. The key feature of EPDM rubber is its outstanding range of resistance. This synthetic rubber sheet has excellent durability against damaging weather conditions. While other synthetic elastomers fail under prolonged exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this outdoor rubber is specially designed to handle such extreme physical conditions. Beyond its outdoor abilities, this ozone-resistant rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. The chemical resistance of EPDM makes the thick sheet rubber ideal for industrial locations which might be prone to the presence of such potentially corrosive substances. This sheet EPDM also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40° F to 212° F, making it perfect for extreme industrial or outdoor temperatures. Our EPDM rubber sheeting is heavy-duty and won’t sacrifice its lifespan to heat, chemicals, or weathering effects. Our EPDM material is available in seven different gauges ranging from 1/32” to 1/2" to fit the needs of any desired application. This 1/2" sheet rubber is the thickest option available and works best for highly abrasive physical applications. These thick rubber sheets are also available in a variety of different sizes and can be cut down for even more possible applications, such as making UV-resistant liners, seals, and gaskets. These self-adhesive rubber sheets have a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing to allow easy DIY installations.
