Ruland supplied Controlflex couplings are a lightweight, low inertia, and zero-backlash coupling designed for use in encoders, tachometers, resolvers, and light duty power transmission applications. This keyed clamp style double insert type thin hub requires the user to mate it with one other hub and two acetal inserts. The multiple piece construction allows for a highly customizable coupling that easily combines clamp hubs with inch, metric, keyed, and keyless bores. This hub has a 32mm bore, 10mm keyway, 56.0mm OD, and 12.0mm length. The use of a keyway prevents the coupling from slipping on the shaft if over torqued. It has a narrow width for use in applications with short shafts that may not be able to protrude completely through the clamp of a regularly sized hub. This double insert type has higher torque capacity than single insert styles. It is longer than equivalent single insert Controlflex types to couple systems with wide distances between shaft ends. It has a balanced design and can accommodate speeds of up to 10000 RPM. This Controlflex hub is RoHS and REACH compliant and manufactured by Schmidt Kupplung in Germany.
