Ruland oldham couplings are zero-backlash and designed for use in applications with high parallel misalignment (up to 10% of the OD). This keyed set screw style hub is a component in a three piece design which mates two stainless steel hubs to a disk insert. The addition of a keyway allows for increased torque capacity and prevents the coupling from slipping on the shaft when over torqued. It has a 0.625" bore, 3/16" keyway, 1.313" OD, and 0.590" length. The multiple piece construction allows for a highly customizable coupling that easily combines clamp or set screw hubs with inch, metric, keyed, and keyless bores. Disks are available in three materials allowing the user to tailor coupling performance to system requirements. Stainless steel hubs can be used in high corrosion, high temperature, and cleanroom environments when combined with a PEEK disk. The complete coupling has a balanced design and can accommodate speeds of up to 4,500 RPM. Hardware is metric and tests beyond DIN 912 12.9 standards for maximum torque capabilities.
