SAFT LS14500AX Battery Axial AA 3.6V Primary Lithium Cell Li-SOCl2SAFT LS14500AX Battery is an ideal long lasting power source for the VR3 and VR2 dive computer. Early versions of the VR3 were fitted with a small diameter battery cap which can be quite a squeeze for these batteries. This battery is often used in wireless alarm systems, memory backup for computers, high tech dive computers, MP3 players, bar-code scanners and night vision equipment.Lithium Thionyl Chloride has the highest energy density of any practical Lithium battery chemistry, three times greater than Alkaline (Zinc Manganese Dioxide) batteries. It also has the widest operating temperature range of -55°C to + 85°C. Self discharge is low at less than 1% per annum at 20°C, giving an effective shelf life of 10 years.
