USG Structo-Lite Basecoat Plaster is lightweight, conventional gypsum plaster that, when mixed with water, conforms to various designs, helping to achieve durability in walls and ceilings. It is USG's lightest and most highly-insulated basecoat plaster and ideal for locations where an aggregate is unavailable. USG Structo-Lite Basecoat Plaster is mill-mixed, perlite-aggregate gypsum that weighs half as much as sanded basecoat plaster and provides thermal conductivity. May be applied by hand or machine methods, on gypsum or metal lath, clay tile, concrete or cinder blocks and other approved plaster bases to provide a lightweight, high-thermal-conductivity conventional plaster application. USG conventional plaster systems provide the highest-quality finish and the capability to create complex high-end surfaces such as vaults, domes and columns. They feature excellent acoustical performance, proven fire resistance, increased abuse resistance and design flexibility, and are the best system to attain a uniform, blemish-free, smooth surface with excellent wear resistance.
