Sorbents
Sorbents are insoluble materials used to recover liquids through absorption or adsorption. There are 3 categories of sorbent material: mineral based sorbents that use things like perlite, vermiculite, sand, and clay; animal or vegetable based sorbents like sawdust, ground corn cobs, hay, and feathers; and synthetic or organic polymers like polypropylene, polyurethane, polystyrene, and magnesium carbonate. Sorbents come in sheets, rolls, pads and socks in a variety of lengths and sizes.
