2191 Performer Intake Manifold

The Performer Intake Manifold combination boosts torque over a wide RPM range from idle to 5 500 RPM. Fel-pro permatorque and blue intake gaskets are not used in this manifold because of their very hard non-pliable construction. Many are 50-state street legal with a low-rise and dual-plane design. They do not compress well when used with an aluminum intake manifold. The factory composition-type embossed gasket also works satisfactorily. The manifold bolts need to be torqued down to 25 feet in most cases. When using a 12-bolt manifold on 16-bolt heads a 16-bolt intake gasket is used to ensure proper sealing around the water ports on the heads. It is also compatible with non-EGR styles.
