Tekton 1/4 inch drive flex head ratchets have a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of 4 degrees. The single half-moon pawl maintains 9 teeth engaged with the gear at all times, ensuring that it won't slip or skip under stress. The flex head moves 180-degrees, snapping into 9 different detent angles. The classic non-quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ballpush the sockets onto the ratchet and pull to remove them. The handle's finger groove has pronounced interior edges for traction and control with any finger placement. The pommel at the end of the handle keeps your hand from slipping off and is rounded for comfort. Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: length, width, and height. Tekton ratchets meet (and most far exceed) the industry standard for proof torque, a measure of strength verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until the specified value is reached without failure or any permanent deformation.
