Tekton Dead Blow Hammers reduce the post-strike rebound that is common with other hammers and mallets, allowing for better controlled hits to the workpiece. Unlike lead or other common fill material, steel shot inside the head of the dead blow hammer flows smoothly without sticking or clumping and won't degrade over time. The all-steel construction is jacketed with a thick, hot cast polyurethane that's highly resistant to chipping, cracking, and tearing, but soft enough to avoid marring delicate work surfaces. The slim, offset head on this hammer is designed to reach over a piston ring compressor and drive pistons deep into the bore while still providing the non-marring, controlled strike of a dead blow hammer.
