The hammer's striking faces are made of 4140 chromium-molybdenum steel heat-treated to 52 HRC. The jacket of the hammer is made from a hot cast polyurethane that's highly resistant to chipping, cracking, and tearing. The contoured handle and its textured surface provide a comfortable, nonslip grip for hammering, and the end of the handle flares out to prevent it from slipping out of your hand.
