Tekton Dead Blow Hammers contain round steel shot inside the head to reduce post-strike rebound and allow for better-controlled hits to the workpiece. The hammer has two flat striking faces that are made of 4140 chromium-molybdenum steel heat-treated to 52 HRC. Its hot cast polyurethane jacket is highly resistant to chipping, cracking, and tearing. The contoured handle and its textured surface provide a comfortable, nonslip grip for hammering, and the end of the handle flares out to prevent it from slipping out of your hand.
