Tension springs are a type of mechanical spring that are designed to resist a pulling force. They are typically made from a coiled wire, and when stretched, they will store energy and return to their original shape when released.

There are many different types of tension springs, each with its own unique characteristics. Some of the most common types include: helical, extension, and spiral springs.

There are several factors to consider when choosing a tension spring, including the load it will be subjected to, the environment it will be used in, and the space constraints. It is important to consult with a qualified engineer to select the right spring for your application.

Tension springs are widely used in a variety of applications, including: automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial machinery. They can be used to provide tension or support, or to store energy.
