About Tension Springs
Spring plungers are excellent devices to position within drawers, doors, or in mechanical die parts. A spring plunger is used as a locking mechanism to unite two separate components. They have a threaded capsule design with an enclosed spring, which produces a spring-force action. The force applies pressure to the nose of the plunger so that it stays in position to join objects.
