Universal Joints
Universal joints (AKA Cardan joint, u-joint or Hooke’s joint) are a type of coupling that connects rods that are not designed to be in direct alignment and are at inclined angles relative to each other, such as shafts that transmit rotary motion. They are one of many types of couplings used to connect moving parts, such as motion control couplings and and tire couplings. Products vary by bore size and other dimensions. Top manufacturers include Oetiker, Lovejoy, Belden and others.
