Replacing this part may alleviate the issue.The fill tube is approximately 10 long and can be cut to the length of the old fitting. Includes a 1/4 plastic nut and a metal insert for installation. Before beginning the installation, put a towel down on the floor in case of leaking water when disconnecting the water line from the back of the fridge. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the refrigerator before installing this part.This product is a Factory Certified Part.
