The Dryer Heating Element generates the dryer's heat and is a replacement part for heating element coils that short out, causing your dryer to no longer produce the heat necessary to dry your clothes. If your dryer is not heating, first check for a blown thermal fuse on the blower housing before replacing the heating element.
