The Gas Dryer Valve Assembly controls the gas flow to the burner in the appliance to heat the dryer during use. If the gas valve has failed, the dryer may not start -- or you may smell gas if the part is damaged or leaking. This valve features electrical solenoids; please call 1-844-200-5460 with your appliance's model and serial number to verify that this is the correct part for your dryer. Replacing this assembly will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure to turn off the gas supply to the dryer at the valve.
