This Top Load Washer Agitator Cap fits over the top of the agitator to protect the inner components of the agitator. To access the part, open the lid of the washer and stick a flat blade screwdriver under the old cap to gently release it from the agitator. Line the new agitator cap with the upper agitator and push it into place. Replacing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. Make sure you unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
