To access the part, lift the washer lid and remove the fabric softener dispenser. Remove the barrier cap, and then remove the agitator bolt and the assembly from the machine. Separate the top of the agitator assembly from the lower section. The old thrust spacer lives on top of the lower assembly. Replacing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience.
