PRODUCT FEATURES: 4-Ply Strength Wax Finish Lightweight Durable & Resilient Easy to Handwork TYING COIL SPRINGS FOR UPHOLSTERYThe goal with upholstery spring tying (both coil and zigzag) is to shape the seat and connect all the springs together so they move as one unit. You may need to retie springs several times to get them in the appropriate position and tight enough so they don’t feel bouncy when you sit down. Coil springs must be tied down firmly across their tops to prevent them from slipping sideways out of position. Tie at a uniform height so that each spring's upward expansion is controlled. Before tying, springs usually stand about 1.5 in. above the normal height. Firm springs are tied at freestanding height (1.5 in. above normal height). Medium springs are generally tied 1 in. below normal height, and soft springs 2 in. below normal height.
