XTRweldTM Zirconiated Tungsten Electrodes are engineered for superior performance in AC TIG (GTAW) welding applications. Available in both 0.3% and 0.8% zirconium oxide formulations, these electrodes offer excellent arc stability, high current-carrying capacity, and outstanding resistance to tungsten spitting. Zirconiated tungsten is ideal for welding aluminum and magnesium alloys with conventional sine wave and square wave AC power sources. These electrodes form a clean, balled tip during use and provide minimal electrode contaminationmaking them a reliable choice when weld quality is critical. Not recommended for DC welding.
