Description
XTRweld ER309L are engineered for joining dissimilar metals and a variety of stainless steels. With a low carbon content (≤0.03%), ER309L resists carbide precipitation and maintains strong intergranular corrosion resistance. Its 25% chromium and 12% nickel composition makes it ideal for buffer layers, buttering, and welds requiring a transition between stainless and carbon steels. Display Pack: 1 lb Perfect for MIG and TIG welding processes, ER309L is commonly used for joining austenitic, martensitic, and ferritic stainless steelsincluding types 309, 410, 420, 431, 430, 442, and 446to themselves or to mild and carbon steels.
