To extend the telescope's reach even farther, a 3X Barlow lens is included for triple the magnification. This will help when trying to spot Jupiter's moons or Saturn's rings. To make terrestrial viewing easier, a diagonal mirror is included to produce erect images. Since a telescope's image is naturally inverted, the diagonal mirror flips the image so everything appears right-side-up again.
