With thread tape applied to water heater nipples, screw the TankTee to the cold water inlet and the 18 in. Corrugated Stainless Steel to the hot water outlet. After applying thread tape to the nipple on the expansion tank, screw the expansion tank into the threaded outlet of the TankTee and insert the 12 in. Corrugated Stainless Steel connector with brass insert into the top of the TankTee. Finally, make the final connections to the existing piping system utilizing the Push-To-Connect ends of the connectors. It is fast, simple and clean to install. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect products are the cleanest and simplest way to gain flow control on copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring.
