The new Baileigh PL-1440E-1 comes equipped with precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for the ultimate working durability. The segment-leading 2" spindle bore, enclosed gearbox design, standard coolant system, and lead screw cover provide a smooth and quiet operation while maintaining peak performance. A standard 2-axis DRO is also included to support precision work. With standard UL 987 certification, this is the ideal everday use lathe to outfit a workshop or repair center.
