Chemical Metering Pumps
Chemical metering pumps transfer and meter chemicals in industrial control systems where precise chemical dosing is essential. There are two primary types: peristaltic pumps and diaphragm pumps. Diaphragm pumps are a type of positive displacement pump, capable of pumping with constant flow in medium to high pressures. This makes them great for liquids that contain fragile solids, or are highly viscous. Peristaltic pumps rely more on spinning rotors and less on fluid pressures for transfer. They have no internal parts or valves that are subject to clogging. The effect of this structure is a less volatile method of fluid transfer.
